Ethnography of Easter Island
For my still, I chose a photo I took in Easter Island, Chile. I talked specifically about Ethnography and how in King Kong, it is used to create a horror film. My film would do the opposite; it would celebrate the differences in culture.
Marissa, Did you go to the Easter Islands recently? I like the fact that your subject is something other than a person, but I am curious on how you're going to argue that your still celebrates the difference in culture juxtaposed to the ethnographic elements that make King Kong a horror movie. How are you going to do that with this image?
